Residents of Signal Hill have plenty of recreational options to choose from, including the Westside Recreation Centre, a fabulous addition to the Westhills communities. This massive leisure complex boasts skating and swimming, exercise and health programs, sports arenas and more. On its Southern slopes, the Battalion Park Interpretive Centre is located on a bluff and features military monuments and stunning mountain views. There are also several large playing fields which host any number of community activities year-round.

Located just to the South is the Westhills Towne Centre – a giant retail complex anchored by major tenants such as Safeway, Staples, the Superstore, and Rona. Theatres, restaurants, outlet stores and a host of services are also found, in addition, there is the Richmond Square and Co-op Centre nearby. The West Market Square is a small plaza with a Sunterra Market, Subway, Second Cup among many others.
